CLASSICAL GUITARIST
BIOGRAPHY
Yan Kok is considered one of the most prominent interpreter of her generation, and an internationally award winning classical guitarist. She began playing the guitar at age 7 and since then studied at «Barratt Due», «Norwegian Academy of Music» (Oslo, Norway) and «Robert Schumann Hochschule» (Düsseldorf, Germany).
As an artist, she has performed all over the world as both soloist and chamber musician including recitals at “Festspillene i Bergen”, “Ultima Contemporary Festival”, “Viva la Guitarra”, “Acoustic Landscape”, “Kunstsalon”, “VII Mostra de Violão Fred Schneiter”, “Uppsala International Guitar Festival” and live performance at “Sveriges Radio P1”.
She has received over ten prizes including scholarships in both national and international competitions:
